Court-Ready Records
Every message, payment, calendar change, journal entry, recorded call, and document upload is time-stamped at creation by our servers. Messages are sealed into a tamper-evident SHA-256 hash chain, and uploaded files are fingerprinted with their own SHA-256 digest. When you export, the entire report is hashed (SHA-256) and that hash is printed on the cover page and in the footer of every page, then published to a public verification ledger at coparent.help/verify the moment the report is generated — so opposing counsel, a mediator, or a judge can independently confirm what was issued without a subpoena.
What courts actually check
Family-court judges, mediators, and opposing counsel evaluate digital records on three properties. Each property is a structural feature of CoParent.Help — not a setting you turn on, not a marketing claim, not "best practices."
Time-stamped at creation
Every entry is time-stamped to the second at the moment it is recorded. Not when you remembered to log it. Not when you took a screenshot. The timestamp marks the moment the entry is recorded, and the record is tamper-evident.
SHA-256 hash on every export
A SHA-256 hash is a cryptographic fingerprint of the exact contents of an export. Change one character anywhere in the document and the fingerprint changes completely. The hash is printed on the cover page and in the footer of every interior page, and published to a public ledger.
Admissible foundation
Records created in the regular course of using a platform, time-stamped at entry, integrity-checked by hash, accompanied by a records custodian declaration, map cleanly onto Federal Rule of Evidence 803(6) (business records exception) and the self-authentication provisions of FRE 902(11) / 902(13).

A Court-Ready Report consolidates every category of record into a single chronological timeline with consistent formatting. Each category is its own section in the PDF, but the timeline can also be rendered interleaved by date.
Messages
Every message between you and your co-parent, in chronological order, with send timestamp, delivery timestamp, read timestamp, retraction status (if applicable), and inline attachment references.
Calendar events + changes
Every event ever created. Every change request — who proposed it, when, on what grounds. Every accept, reject, or counter-proposal. Patterns of last-minute changes or repeated cancellations become visible as data, not anecdote.
Expenses + payments
Submitted receipts with photo + description, request status transitions (submitted → reviewed → approved → paid → disputed), payment timestamps, and any disputes with their resolution paths.
Personal journal
Premium tier. Contemporaneous private entries by either parent. Included in an export only by that parent's explicit selection at export time — contemporaneous statements carry significantly more weight in court than reconstructed testimony.
Recorded calls
Premium tier. Phone calls placed through the platform, with sender, recipient, duration, and verifiable timestamps. Completed recordings are fingerprinted with a SHA-256 hash and referenced in the report.
Document vault uploads
Custody agreements, medical records, school transcripts, court orders, lawyer correspondence. Each upload carries the version, uploader identity, and upload timestamp.
Shared goals + contributions
Long-running shared objectives (braces, college fund, summer camp) with a contribution ledger — who contributed what, when, and toward which goal. Useful for child-support recalculation and tax recordkeeping.
From export to independent authentication
The verification path is the same whether the recipient is your attorney, opposing counsel, a mediator, or a judge. No CoParent.Help account required to verify.
You export
From your dashboard, you press a single button: "Generate Court-Ready Report." The system collects every record in the date range and category set you chose.
We hash + sign
The system serializes the records into a canonical JSON representation and computes a SHA-256 hash of those exact bytes. The hash is written to an append-only verification ledger before the PDF is built.
The PDF is generated
The cover page carries the SHA-256 hash, a QR code linking to coparent.help/verify, and a records custodian declaration block. Every interior page carries the hash in its footer.
Anyone verifies
A recipient — opposing counsel, mediator, judge, court clerk — scans the QR or visits the URL. The verifier displays the canonical record: when issued, row count, date range, schema version. If the document was edited after generation, the hash mismatches and verification fails openly.
Court clerks scan the QR code
Every Court-Ready PDF carries a QR code on the cover page that links directly to its public verification record. This is the path most court clerks already use for other authenticated digital evidence — they don't need a new workflow.
Records custodian declaration included
Every Court-Ready export comes with a one-click records custodian declaration in the standard FRE 902(11) / 902(13) form. The declaration references that specific export's hash, verification URL, row count, and date range. Your client prints it, signs it before a notary where required, and files the signed copy alongside the report.
The declaration ties uniquely to one hash. It cannot be reused against a different or altered export. That property is what makes the records self-authenticating — no live platform testimony required under most state-court equivalents of FRE 902(11).

What we do not claim
Being precise about our limits is part of how we earn trust with the legal audience this platform is built for.
- •We do not claim that any specific judge or jurisdiction will admit our exports. Admissibility is for the court to decide, under applicable rules of evidence, with the attorney on record.
- •We do not provide legal advice. The platform is a records system. The custodian declaration is a standard template we prepare in our capacity as custodian of the underlying records.
- •Exported records reflect only what users have entered. They are not a substitute for discovery, deposition, or independent forensic examination.
- •We do not "court-approve" any document. Approval is a property of the tribunal, not the platform.
Privacy you control
Your records cannot be subpoenaed without your involvement in the legal process. We respond to valid legal process the same as any platform of record. Personal Journal entries are included in an export only when the journal owner explicitly opts them in at export time.
90-day post-cancellation window
After cancellation, records are retained for 90 days for renewal. After 90 days, records may be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If a case is active, generate and download the Court-Ready PDF before cancellation — the PDF you download is yours forever, independent of the subscription.
